Large porcelain vase carved with trees, blue and ivory drip glaze, ca. 1910; Unmarked; 6 1/4" x 5 1/2"; Provenance: Estate of the artist, by descent within the family; Lois Kelly Stout, Pittsburgh, PA (the artist's granddaughter by marriage), 2004; Collection of Martin Eidelberg, New York; Probably executed while the artist was at University City, MO. The vase had been used by the artist's daughter Elizabeth as a lamp in her Cape Cod summer home.
